Baby shower invites!

I am sending out 40 physical invites, and many Facebook invites, I have finished the design for them, and now I am just putting them together! I am using 8 different animals from the Create - a- critter Cricut Cartridge. I have chosen to use the Squirrel, Fox, Deer, Owl, Skunk, Hedgehog, Raccoon and Bird1, as well as the tree from the "bee" page.

The card is created from 2 pieces of cardstock, brown, and sky blue, both are from "Coredinations" found a Joanns. I used my Fiskars scallop boarder punch, and some green dotted brown ribbon from Offrey Ribbons (walmart). The card is cute to the following dimensions:

Back 6x4 inches scored at 5 inches
Front 5x4 inches
Tree 2 3/4 inches (in 4 different colors mixed from a DCWV MatchMakers 2 Neutrals stack
All animals 2 inches (Create-a-Critter)
Grass 1 inch (Plantin Schoolbook)

Stamp used is part of a 3 set I got at Joanns. This one says "you're invited". The set also includes "live, laugh, love" and "happy birthday" They are from Inkadinkadoo.

Use your scallop (or other boarder punch) to punch a boarder into the 1 inches section of the back, fold over, adhere ribbon, and then adhere card front. Put tree in place, layer grass over tree trunk, and place animal.

I am printing up a cute info panel and gluing it inside. Something along the lines of a catch phrase "Help Echo welcome a new addition into her neck of the woods!"

Stepping away from Baby zone, just for a day or two

You may have noticed, or maybe you haven't, but I do a LOT of baby themed things. I am the owner of Owls Nest Boutique in Central Oregon, and run my business in between EVERYTHING else. Over achiever? No, not really, just creative, without the space needed to keep all of my craftiness. Also, I love babies, and I love pregnant ladies!

But I needed a change of pace, I think. I needed to stretch my brain muscles in a different direction. I had a friend doing a small craft fair, and she needed some more product to fill her table. I offered to let her put some of my things out on consignment. In just over 4 hours, I churned out these puppies:

My most sincere apologies for the bad photos, I forgot to charge my camera, so I took them with my phone.
Also, you see there, I couldn't resist the pregnancy one... just couldn't.

This was a set I made as a sampler, I also make a set that said "Thank You" and 2 blank note-card sets. If they don't sell tonight, I'll get pics, but I forgot to get them before I sent them to the market.

Some great cards from the last few weeks

Check these out, Baby shower cards and thank you's that have made their way out of my mind and onto paper in the last few weeks

Made with Walmart and DCWV papers and a Fiskars (I think) Clear Stamp, and an oval Cricut cutout in 2 sizes (Don't remember the size of cut) from Plantin Schoolbook. (set of 10)

This is the baby onesie cut from New Arrivals Cricut Cart, on Circle Cute in accent paper. This paper was purchased at Joann, in the looseleaf paper selection, and had 1 pattern on one side and 1 pattern on the other. The striped paper is an accent paper from the same set. The boarder punch is a Martha Stewart Punch. (set of 10, 5 of each pattern)

The Circle was cut from Plantin School Book, on a patterned paper from DCWV, stamped in black with an elephant from a Fiskars stamp set. He is colored in with Prisma Color Colored Pencil. The Baby Shower stamp is also from the same stamp set. The dot paper is from a "Back To School" pattern pack from Walmart. (Set of 10)

This is a single layer (front back, instead of fold style) Thank You card. Circle cut from Plantin Schoolbook, Stamped in green with a onesie from a Fishkars set. Thank You stamp is a StampCraft stamp from Joanns. The dots are a Fiskars roller stamp used on a flat acrylic block. each of the medium sized circle have been filled with aqua colored glitter. (set of 10)

This is created with scrap orange cardstock from the Joann Stack O' Scraps. The stripes are from a paper set found in the large stack from DCWV. The Elephant and the "join us" is stamped from the Fiskars set. (set of 10)

Purple back mat is from Joann Stack O' Scraps, the dots paper is from a pattern pack from Walmart, the stamp is from the Fiskars set, and is colored with 2 tones of Prisma Color purple. (set of 10)

Finally got the chance to share these, so now I need to go sell them so I have room for more!
